Our river is a bustling universe alive with tiny creatures, birds, plants, fish - and otters. The water flowing past the town and out to the sea via Brandon is for most of the year, accessible by paddlecraft. It is sad to see so much litter being dumped in it -  we clean up the Little Ouse from Santon Downham upstream to the town, around Butten Island and The Thet from Melford Bridge each month, but if you see anything that isn't right please contact us immediately. We'd like to thank local canoe and kayak and all round outdoors activity company Bush Adventures UK       https://www.bushadventuresuk.org/        or training Thetford River Group members to the British Canoe Union Star Awards .We are  super appreciative of the help RiverCare give us with training, first aid and protective clothing.
