Our river is a bustling universe alive with tiny creatures, birds, plants, fish - and otters. The water flowing past the town and out to the sea via Brandon is for most of the year, accessible by paddlecraft. It is sad to see so much litter being dumped in it -  we try to clean it from Santon Downham upstream to the town each month, but if you see anything that isn't right please contact us immediately. We'd like to thank local canoe and kayak and all round outdoors activity company Bush Adventures UK https://www.bushadventuresuk.org/

for training Thetford River Group members to be river stewards. We'd also like to thank British Canoeing for all their support and training.
