Our river is a thriving universe alive with invertebrates,  birds, plants, fish. The miles of riverbank are dotted with water voles, ottters - and the maurading signal crayfish.

Most of the year the Thet and Little Ouse are navigable by paddle craft downstream from the townscape and the new Jetty. It is sad to see so much litter still being dumped in it -  we clean up the Little Ouse from Santon Downham upstream to the town, around Butten Island and The Thet from Melford Bridge each month.

We'd like to thank local canoe and kayak and all round outdoors activity company Bush Adventures UK       https://www.bushadventuresuk.org/  for training Thetford River Group members to the British Canoe Union Star Awards .We are also very appreciative of the help RiverCare give us with training, first aid and protective clothing.
